Day 4 - Board Game M-term (Daniel)
To start off day four of our M term, Mr Roddy came in and taught us how to play “Murder” which is very similar to the game “sorry”. “Murder” is not sold in stores but many people create their own boards from wood. After a couple rounds of “Murder”, we took a break and had lunch. After lunch, we took turns presenting our presentations on the board games we chose the first day (clue, risk, chess, monopoly, etc.) We discussed the history of the games, different strategies and we people play the game today. It was very interesting to learn about and play “Murder” because it was very unique, being a game with the rules passed down and people having to create their own “murder” boards. This made me understand that board games are much more than just entertainment. Board games are a way of connecting with people and building strong relationships.
